Adult Literacy Programs:
In 2019, TotalEnergies signed MOU with National Volunteer Services under the Community Investment program for the Adult Literacy Training for 8 communities within the PRL-15 area of Gulf Province.
12 community volunteers identified and trained by NVS Lead Trainer to become tutors. The tutors returned to their respective communities and deliver the adult literacy and basic numeracy trainings.
160 adults and youths currently undergoing the levels 1 – 5 training. The Adult Literacy Training Program training which has been extended to 2022.
By the end of the training program, the adults and youths will confidently read, write and do basic numeracy.
Donation of books:
Total Energies in 2017 donated 500 teachers resource books in primary schools within the project area of influence towards improving the quality of education. Students obtain better grades gives them the opportunity to continue onto high/secondary schools, tertiary schools and get employed.
